Theme of the Seminar

Realizing the tremendous potential of Biotechnology in improving human and animal health, increasing agricultural productivity and providing safe and clean environment, it is important to educate public about its importance. An understandable concern among parents of students undergoing Biotech courses is whether their wards will be able to get suitable jobs. There is something amiss in our public that needs to be immediately addressed as it should not become a stumbling block in the future growth of this sector.

The need of the hour is to inculcate the students and public the very necessity of life sciences and its applications as career options. The big point is to drive students that patience, perseverance and right environment are needed for a novel idea or vision to be realized and proved innovatively invaluable.

The main theme of the seminar is to rejuvenate the scientific temper among students in order to pursue biotechnology as their subject for future studies. The real change can happen only if the interest in life sciences, which has been on a decline for the last several years is to be revived so that more and more young minds take it up as a career option. So it is necessary to create awareness about the New Horizons in Biotechnology there by putting students in track of life sciences for higher studies and research.
